The Family

We are a family of 8.  A blended family at that.  We have a combination of his and ours.

I first met my husband in 2003.  It wasn't until the end of that year we began dating.  I was only 18 at the time.  he was 31 and already had 3 children.  I didn't mind the children (I love kids, honest).

James is a member of the Air National Guard.  He spent some time as active duty, but dropped that to be closer to his family.  He truly is my knight in shining armor.  He has been there for me through everything.  Finally, on July 1, 2006 we got married.  It wasn't anything big.  In fact, it was in our backyard.  Only the neighbors, his mom and his sister attended.  His mom is the one who married us (forgive me, I forget the actual terms to use there haha).

As I mentioned, I walked into this relationship an instant mom.  His oldest child is Brandyn.  He was born December 2, 1992.  That has made for some awkward moments, but we work through those.  At the same time, I like to think it has helped the relationship.  Brandyn graduated high school and moved on to the military. He decided to join the Air Force.  He has since graduated basic training.  Now he is working on all his tech schooling before finally being stationed in one area for his job.

Nicole is next down the line.  She was born September 3, 1994.  Nicole suffers from epilepsy.  It has given her a few set backs, but nothing she can't work through.  There are times she tries to use it an excuse for things, so she's definitely aware of what's going on.  She currently lives with her birth mother as she was always unhappy here with us.

Victoria was born January 29, 2002.  She's a total sweetheart, and knows how to play the game.  She's tiny, but uses it to her advantage.  Right now her aspiration is to become a veterinary doctor when she is older.  She has a huge love for animals and always hopes I will let her keep all the strays.

James and I had our first child together on March 11, 2006 (the day after his birthday!).  Her name is Josephine Carinne.  She weighed 7lbs 15.5oz when she was born.  That girl is my life.  She is my Sunshine.  What keeps me going when things seem rough.  She loves to play everyone, and tries her best to include everyone around her.  She's a super picky eater, and completely spoiled.

Then on October 29, 2009 Miles & Emmit were born.  Miles was 4lbs 9oz and Emmit was 5lbs 3oz when born.  They are fraternal twin boys.  Having twins is fun.  Yes I do get asked the twin questions often.  Right now they are just rotten little boys.  They love each other deeply, but will pick on each other daily.  I suppose that's just brotherly love.  The nice thing about having twins is they will always have someone to play with.

For now that's the extend of my family.  It's still uncertain if there will be more children in the future.

Signed
Super Mom
